Antony and Cleopatra

It was the twenty forth of December, when my little sister Angel asked me to come and help her sort out  the milk and cookies for Santa and the carrot for Rudolf.  So as soon as she mentioned the idea I shot out into the kitchen.  The reason for this is that I had an idea a couple of days ago that if I was really helpful  my Mum and Dad would get me my desired Christmas present.  Two tickets to go and see A Midsummers Nights Dream in the Globe Theatre with my best friend Antony.  After I helped Angel I had another genius idea.
"Night Mum and Dad" I acknowledged
"But its only half eight" replied Dad
"I know, night" I said.
I woke up the next morning extremely excited.  As soon as I got to my feet I threw my dressing gown and slippers on woke everyone up and ran downstairs in search for my ultimate present.  My eyes scanned the whole of the underneath of the tree, I opened all of the presents with my name on them but none had tickets within them.  I sat there staring at my gifts I asked for none of them.
"Do you like your presents then?"asked Mum.
"They're okay" I replied, not wanting to show that I'm disappointed.
"Look Cleopatra-".
"Stop calling me that call me Cleo" I interupted.
"Okay Cleo! I know you want those tickets but would you rather go to some show than spend Christmas with your family?" asked Mum.
"Yes, yes i would".
"Fine then, here, take them me, your Dad and your Sister are going to see and spend Christmas with our family."Mum went out of the room crying.  Well it wasn't my fault she wanted to know the truth, right.  I ran up the stairs grabbed my phone and called Antony.
"Antony guess what?".
"What?"replied Antony.
"I got the tickets!".
"Really, your being serious?".
"Yeah so are you coming?".
"Erm, I'm not sure it is Christmas".
"Oh, come on it's going to be amazing".
There was a long pause.
"I'll come for the first half".
"Great!".
"Okay see you soon".
"Bye!".
I hurried into the bathroom not wanting to be a second late, got ready, threw on a coat, grabbed the tickets and ran to the bus stop where I met Antony.  The bus arrived soon after I did.  During our journey me and Antony chatted about what the show might be like.
"Have you seen the trailer?" I asked.
"Yes, its amazing I can't wait" replied Antony.
As soon as we arrived at the Globe Theatre we ran towards the ticket takers booth.  Antony went first.  The ticket taker took his ticket and said
"Hope you enjoy the show"
"I'll meet you outside the toilets". Antony grinned.
"I'm sorry madam,I'm afraid your ticket isn't valid" the ticket taker claimed.
"What? No you must be wrong." I began
"I'm afraid I'm not.  Sorry, I have to ask you to leave." she directed me to the nearest exit.
"No I can't leave, I blew off Christmas for this I'm not going!" I argued
"Well if you are not willing to leave I'll have to call security" she advised
"Hmph, of cause you'll call security" I said sarcastically. Next minute i feel my feet not being able to touch the ground and then I realised I was being lifted and carried out.
"Okay,okay.  I'm sorry.  I'll leave"I said defeatedly.
Six and a half hours later...
"Hey where were you?" asked Antony.
"I got kicked out' I said embarrassed
"Okay then I've got to go, see you soon you soon" Antony jumped into the car and waved as they drove off.  When the car was out of sight I started walking to the bus stop.  When I got on the bus it was sundown so I assumed that my Mum, Dad and Angel would be home by now.  About ten minutes later I heard the most horrific bang and screech.  The driver came out of the cabin and told me and the other passengers to get off the bus.  It was obvious that we had broken down but it wasn't so obvious when we would set off again.
Forty five minutes later...
"Erm, okay folks we don't think we are going to start the bus again so if I were you I'd look for other options to get home". Because of this I went over to the bus timetable.  There were no more buses running.  Plus I had no money so I couldn't afford a taxi.  I only had one option.  I had to start walking.
Six hours later...
I finally made it home.  I knocked, rang the doorbell and yelled there was still no answer.  I sat there on the doorstep just waiting and waiting until i got a phone call.  I answered immediately.
"Hi Cleopatra" said my Mum
"It's Cleo!" I responded
"Fine Cleo! Look your dad went a bit over board with the alcohol and he can't drive so we're going to book into a hotel for the night okay-" said mum in a hurry
"But Mum" I cried.
'Look i have to go,bye" Mum sounded so happy.  If only I wasn't so ungrateful.  I sat there crying hoping the night would pass quickly.
"Cleopatra, Cleopatra" I could here the soft sound of my mums voice.
"Cleopatra wake up"
"Mum?"
"Cleopatra why aren't you awake yet its Christmas"
"What? So the day has started over again?"
"What, honey you must have been dreaming. Anyway i know how much you want to go to this show so-"
"No mum I want to spend Christmas with our family and share presents and eat until we can't eat anymore and watch dad get drunk I want us to spend Christmas together"
"Okay then honey we will"
